I haven't always loved challenges, because they are in fact quite difficult to do, especially when they go on for more than a week. I used to see not completing the challenge as a fail, and I guess this didn't help me much either, because a part of what sustains motivation is to see everyday as a win. In fact that was the reason why I started appreciating a good challenge, at some point I had to rethink my mental feedback, when should I give myself a mental 'bravo' and when what I did was enough for me to be happy with myself. What I eventually did was a two level congratulatory process, the first comes when I manage to make myself do anything in the direction of the challenge and the second one comes with full power and speed when I feel that I really did accomplish it well.
When it comes to learning a language it is all about sustainability, coming back to it over and over and over again, even when it gets hard. A way to do this is to find new and fun ways to learn. We wanted to gift you with some of the ways we use when learning and teaching Bulgarian by creating this challenge. We hope you enjoy the process and learn in a fun and engaging way, we would love it if you have suggestions for more fun ways that a person can learn on their own, so we can make a new challenge with new ideas.
